Welcome to Whole Health Outreach
Our objective is to respond to the rural crisis in health care/education LOCALLY, PREVENTATIVELY and PERSONALLY.
We:
- Train ourselves and others to respond to unmet needs that impact women, children, young families and the elderly;
- Network with existing groups and individuals in rural and urban areas to address points of neglect;
- Emphasize preventative health care/education through participation; and
- Offer service as an expression of ecumenical Christian ministry and community building.
WHOLE HEALTH OUTREACH (WHO) is an ecumenical group of trained staff and volunteers committed to preventative health care/education.
Presently, we serve a five county area is South Central Missouri: Iron, Reynolds, Carter, Shannon and Wayne counties.
Families-In-Crisis Network
We network with other groups and individuals in the communities to assist families experiencing loss of members, loss of jobs, homes, etc. by providing for their immediate needs.
We network with county services to assist families-in-crisis to be able to stay together as families.
We offer “Capacitar,” a program of natural therapies to help persons deal with stress.

Casa Guadalupe
Family Growth Center and Shelter
Casa Guadalupe is a 24-hour residential facility offering the following support services to women and children survivors of domestic violence:
- Safe shelter and transitional housing
- Legal counsel and court advocacy
- Counseling services, individual and group
- Hotline and crisis intervention
- Children’s services
- Assistance in securing housing, health care, education, job training, food, clothing and furnishings
- Art therapy
- Community outreach:
- Services to victims of sexual assault (S.A.N.E.)
- Educational programs on domestic violence
- Experiential programs for students on health interpersonal relationships and conflict resolution
- School-based counseling by a Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor

Senior Programs
Senior Programs offered in the five-county area are:
- Wellness Clinics – half day programs offering exercise, health, education, screenings, social interaction, creative activities, nutritional lunches
- Blood pressure screenings at local nutritional centers
- Educational programs on elder abuse
- Home visits to the terminally ill and their families providing spiritual care and counseling by a Certified Chaplain
- Healthwise for Life – a home visiting program of preventative health care/education, exercise and networking of community services
- Respite Care for home care-givers of the elderly
- Medicare D Assistance
